Dr Sarah Watson
I graduated from St Andrews/Manchester in 1996. Having done adult medicine and anaesthetics, I did my GP training in York, qualifying in 2007 and becoming a Member of the Royal College of GPs. I also have my Diploma in family planning. I have worked in York, Chester and New Zealand and for the last 10 years as a salaried GP at Priory Medical Group in York.
I joined Millfield Surgery as a partner in March 2018. I am a tutor for Hull and York Medical School and involved in teaching 4th year medical students. I am also the clinical lead for research for the practice and the heart failure champion for the PCN. I was the President of the York Medical Society in 2018-19 and am a member of the Board, still involved in running the society.
I enjoy sport, the outdoors and spending time with my family. I am a real supporter of the Park Run and am keen to promote it amongst our patients as believe physical activity is so important for both physical and mental wellbeing. I am also interested in environmental issues and aiming to try to implement changes to make our practice greener.
